Commissions
I got a lot I'm trying to do, and a lot going on. Do you want to support me, or maybe have me create something for you?
In general I am a versatile digital artist experienced in various fields, so the service I provide can depend on the project you need. For example...
Digital Illustration
This service ranges from simple line portraits, to intricate wallpapers, to cover artwork.
Pricing depends heavily on various factors, including complexity and scope of the illustration.
Sketches can go as low as 20$ for a simple anime-style sketch portrait. However a painterly rendition of a wallpaper background can go as high as 600$.
Manga & Comic Pages
For manga and comic artwork, I can do thumbnails, sketches, lineart, beta, and screentones.
For Pricing, since this is very dependent on the work I need to do per page, the best estimate is to say it can go an average of 100$ a page for a fully toned page, but perhaps as low as 50$ a page for a long term project collaboration.
Digital Assets
Among assets, I have created character sheets for Vtube models, and done stream overlays, as well as assets for cover song animation.
I also have experience as a professional background artist for anime, so I can also do that.
Dynamic assets delivered in alternate color schemes, editable layers and frames are no problem for me.
Pricing between this and Digital Illustration would be around the same, and complicated dynamic packages may be pricier.
How to Commission
So now you're interested, but how do you get started? Some questions you might have, which I have the answer to...
What are the terms and conditions of commissioning you?
I have a few general terms and conditions regarding subject, use, IP, refunds, and privacy. SUBJECT ❖ Monsters, furries, R-18, is ok. ❖ Mecha is not ok. I don't know how. ❖ NSFW art cannot portray real persons without their permission. ❖ Any fanart is ok for personal use, but commercially I need to check if I have permissions to use any other preexisting IP. USE AND INTELLECTUAL PROPERTY ❖ Do not delete signature or URL. If there is a detail obscured by the signature or URL you wish to edit, please let me know before finalizing the commission. ❖ Sharing/reposting the commissioned art is okay, as long as you credit me as the artist. ❖ NO NFT OR AI ART, I do not consent to my art being used in any of those. ❖ No sale or reproduction of my work without my express consent beforehand. If the work was private at the time of commission, and you wish to use it commercially, you must contact me beforehand. ❖ I will not post your commission without your permission, based on the form you submit. REFUNDS AND ADDITIONAL FEES ❖ NO FULL REFUNDS. Premature termination of the commission may return a certain amount of the payment, but not full, depending on progress. ❖ ADDITIONAL FEES will never be added unless the client consents to it. COMMUNICATION AND PRIVACY ❖ You are free to screen-cap and record our conversations regarding the work as needed. I, as the artist, reserve the same right. We will not share these conversations with any third parties except in the case of providing proof regarding any possible contentions or disputes between the artist and the client, or when used as a reference for seeking possible third party services (i.e. outsourced materials like patterns and textures, anatomy models, etc.) ❖ The artist will not sell or distribute the client's personal information with any third parties except in the case of providing proof regarding any possible contentions or disputes between the artist and the client, or when used as a reference for seeking possible third party services (i.e. outsourced materials like patterns and textures, anatomy models, etc.)
Can I contact you for commercial/industry work?
Yes, I am available for commercial and industry work! However, fees and terms will be adjusted for this. For example: ❖ If you want me to design something for you the price will increase between 50-200 USD. Use and resale terms to be negotiated. ❖ I must be credited with designing the character/environment. ❖ If the work was private at the time of commission, and you wish to use it commercially, you must contact me beforehand. ❖ I retain rights to use this commission in my portfolio or show it if it is relevant during a job application, even if I don't post it publicly.
Where/How can I contact you for a commission?
I am available for commission on a few websites for specific services, and there are different benefits to each Mode of Commission. GETTING IN TOUCH with me for the INITIAL PROPOSAL can be done through email. I am most responsive to inquiries via email, but I can also be reached through DMs in twitter, bsky, instagram, facebook, or vgen. However in this case, please give me a week to check in, as I am not that regular with my correspondence in these websites. From there you can choose among various Modes of Commission, such as... COMMISSION AS A PATRON ON PATREON: subscribing to my patreon might be a good investment if you wish to regularly commission me as well as keep updated about my projects. Patreon subscribers at $30+ get priority slots for open commissions, as well as a once-a-month-discount. COMMISSION VIA VGEN: Vgen is a secure website where my services are available along with various samples and testimonies from my clients. Using Vgen has a higher service charge, as VGEN and PAYPAL both have fees, however it is the most secure, and comes with its own interface for sending items and progress back and forth. COMMISSION VIA PAYPAL INVOICE: The client may be given a Paypal Invoice. This has an additional charge for the use of paypal's services, but proves fairly secure. Communication between artist and client here must be agreed upon between the artist/Client. COMMISSION VIA KO-FI: All my ko-fi commissions are done as 'Caine Aschinder', under the identity of a vtuber creating assets for other vtubers. ...once we have agreed on a proposal and a Mode of Commission, we can keep up regular correspondence through discord, email, etc. depending on what suits both of us best.
What information should I have prepared when I commission you?
It's most efficient and beneficial for both myself and the client if you have the following information in mind and on paper when sending me an email. NAME: ⠀⠀For reference, depending on mode of payment or contact, I may not need your real or full name DEADLINE: ⠀⠀Est. min of 1 week to 1 month BUDGET: ⠀⠀Preferably in USD or PHP DESCRIPTION OF WORK DESIRED: ⠀⠀i.e. comics, digital art, sketch PREFERRED MODE OF COMMISSION/PAYMENT: ⠀⠀i.e. vgen, paypal INTENDED USE: ⠀⠀Commercial/Personal** For Personal use, commissions through any Mode of Commission is fine, however industry work or industry projects (such as inking prexisting IP or doing backgrounds for animation) should only email me through their HR team. I will also request a contract.
How much will my commission cost?
This depends heavily on the work you need me to do, and you can go to my vgen for a clear breakdown of fees. However, here's a good ballpark estimate: Sketches: $20+ Flat illustration: $60+ Rendered illustration: $100+ Manga Pages: $80/page The more detailed, the more extravagant, the higher the fee. Prices when I give them do not include service fees for paypal or vgen, and will only be calculated upon payout as they are usually a % rate. REVISIONS, DEADLINES AND DELIVERY ❖ Deadlines agreed upon between client and artist are assumed to be the latest deadline of a final product. Earlier deadlines are negotiable during production if possible but may have additional fees. ❖ Once I have received either full or partial payment, I will send you a sketch. If you selected paying in installments, it is only when the sketch is approved that I will continue to work. In the case of hitting progress milestones per payment, it is on the client's responsibility to be responsive if they are pursuing a progress deadline. ❖ Before completion I will send a very low-res watermarked version of the work, and then request completed payment. When I receive full payment, I will send the full high-res version of the work either through email or gdrive. ❖ Clients are given upto 2 free Revisions during every drafting stage, defined by the times that will be clearly marked by the artist when talking to the client. Every additional revision may have additional fees, which the artist will also define, depending on the requested revision.
